Xiaomi and Coolpad are the popular Chinese brands known for providing affordable smartphones to the Indian consumers. They both hold the tight grip over the Indian market in the budget smartphone field. Both the brands have launched so many affordable smartphones in the past year since the options are so many, it would be difficult for the consumers to choose the best one can satisfy all their smartphone needs.
One can understand how the device will perform by seeing the review articles/videos over the internet. But that doesn’t help you to decide the best one between multiple devices. A good comparison between multiple device’s specifications and performance will help you to determine the right one for you. Here is a comparison between the Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4 and Coolpad Cool 1. Let’s start the comparison without wasting any more time.
Redmi Note 4 Vs Redmi Note 3 Vs CoolPad Cool 1 Comparison
Display is the first thing which everyone sees before buying any smartphone. In this aspect, all the devices come with same specifications, i.e. 5.5-inch touch capacitive display. When it comes to the resolution, all of them features the same resolution of 1080×1920 pixels though all of them doesn’t feature same PPI (pixels per inch). Redmi Note 3 and Coolpad Cool 1 comes with 403 pixels per inch, while the Redmi Note 4 comes with 401 pixels per inch. As you can, there’s no noticeable difference in the display of these devices; you will get almost same performance on all these three devices.
Let’s compare the core parts of these smartphones i.e hardware specs. Redmi Note 4 is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2 Ghz while Redmi Note 3 is powered by a hexacore processor clocked at 1.4 GHZ. On the other side, Coolpad Cool 1 comes with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4 GHZ. As you can see, Redmi Note 4 outperforms here because it comes with a higher clock speed. All the devices come with the same chipset powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon, though the version is different. Redmi Note 4 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, Redmi Note 3 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset, Coolpad Cool 652 chipset. So now you can see Coolpad Cool 1 outperforms the other two devices.
Redmi Note 4 and Coolpad Cool 1 runs on Android 6.0 out of the box. While the Redmi Note 3 comes runs on Android 5.1 out of the box but upgradable to Android 6.0. All the redmi phones come with MIUI skin which is smooth and beautiful, while Coolpad comes with EUI 5.8 which is made by LeEco. I prefer LeEco EUI over MIUI because of its simplicity.
Camera is something which impresses me a lot. Redmi Note 4 comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the back, while the Redmi Note 3 comes with a 16 Megapixel camera on the back. But Coolpad Cool 1 has 13MP+13MP Dual Camera setup at the back which produces some great pictures. You can use the camera to get DSLR-like pictures. So Coolpad Cool 1 is a clear winner here. Let’s talk about the front camera now, Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 3 comes with a 5 Megapixel camera on the front, while the Coolpad Cool 1 comes with an 8Megapixel camera on the front for selfies. For taking good selfies, I would recommend you to choose Coolpad Cool as it features an 8-megapixel camera on the front which captures excellent photos.

When it comes to the battery, Redmi Note 4 wins the race as it comes with a massive 4,100 Mah battery which is non-removable. While the Redmi Note 3 And Coolpad Cool 1 comes with a 4,050 and 4,000 Mah non-removable battery respectively. All the three devices are capable of last longing for at least two days even during intense usage. So, overall there’s nothing much difference in the battery performance among these devices.
Connectivity and Other Basic Features:
All the three devices come with Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 ac, GPS navigation system and Infrared sensors. All the devices feature a 3.5 MM headphone jack. You can insert two sims in Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4, while the Coolpad Cool 1 comes with only one sim slot option, and all of them are 4G supported. Other basic sensors like Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope, are available on all these three devices. One of the biggest drawbacks of Coolpad Cool 1 is the lack of expandable storage so if you are a very hardcore user and play high-end games rather go for any of other two smartphones.
Coolpad Cool 1 is a great smartphone in terms of specs, camera, performance but it lacks a microSD slot while the other two devices are also good at their respective price range.
