A new smartphone with powerful top-end specs has surfaced on benchmarking website AnTuTu. Although the listing doesn’t reveal the company name, the code “Blackshark” suggests that it has a direct connection with Xiaomi. Black Shark Technology started their own Weibo page in August 2017 and the page reveals that the company is a smartphone maker. This might be the company in which the China-based Xiaomi has invested.

The AnTuTu listing reveals that the upcoming smartphone will feature a Full HD+ display with 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC with 8GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The storage seems pretty low but it is expected that the phone will have memory expansion ability using microSD card. Out of the box, the device will run Android 8.0.0 which is good.

There are rumours that Xiaomi is working on a gaming smartphone to compete with Razer phone. So “Blackshark” might be that gaming phone to clinch the title of “best gaming smartphone” from Razer.
