Super Mario Run Breaks Record by Beating Pokemon Go in Terms of Revenue and Downloads

Nintendo has officially released Super Mario Run game for iPhone and iPad as promised. As per Apptopia app analytic firm, SuperMario Run has been downloaded 2.85 million times on the first day of its launch. It broke the previous record of games in App Store that was held by Pokemon Go.

On the other hand, Pokemon Go is in the second spot with 900000 downloads. Nintendo is the maker of both the games. However, Pokemon Go might have lost because on the first day, it was released only in selected regions whereas Super Mario Run got launched in 150 countries.

On the first day Super Mario Run has earned about $5 million while Pokemon Go’s first day earning was $4.2 million.

The first 3 levels of the game Super Mario Run can be played as a free demo, after that the user have to make a one-time purchase of the full game at the cost of $9.99.
