Previously, HMD Global assured that it would regularly roll out latest Android and security updates for at least two years. The firm has now started rolling out a new update to its Nokia 6 (TA-1021) smartphone.
The latest update for the device brings Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS including October security patches for the device. The changelog mentions user-interface enhancements and improved system stability. Android 7.1.2 comes with better notification stability, fingerprint swipe improvements and also Battery Usage alerts. The firmware also comes with general stability improvements and bug fixes.
As you can see in the screenshot, Android Nougat 7.1.2+October security patch size is around 664MB. The update is being pushed through OTA so it may take some time to reach your device. However, you can manually check for it under your phone Settings -> About Phone.
