Even before the launch of Nokia Android smartphones in India, HMD Global announced the devices would get two years of Android OS support. While unveiling the Nokia smartphones, HMD Global assured it’ll also roll out monthly security updates besides the Android OS upgrades. Right now, the HMD Global has disclosed its plans for unveiling the Oreo update for the Nokia smartphones.

A top HMD executive confirmed via tweet that the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 would receive the latest Android Oreo update. However, the official refused to reveal the exact time frame regarding the roll out of the Oreo upgrade. Previously, Google announced that devices from several companies plus HMD would receive Android Oreo update by the end of this year.
