Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has introduced their latest smartphones Honor 9i (2018) and Honor Play at an event in China. Honor 9i (2018) is the upgraded version of Honor 9i which got unveiled last year in India. Let’s check out the specifications of Honor 9i (2018) below.

The Honor 9i (2018) smartphone comes with a 5.84-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch on the top. The resolution of the phone’s screen is 1080 × 2080 pixels.

Onboard the phone has a Kirin 659 2.36GHz octa-core processor with Mali-T830-GP2 GPU and 4GB RAM. The device comes with two built-in storage options; 64GB and 128GB storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD.

In the camera segment, the Honor 9i (2018) offers a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup with LED flash. The 13MP primary camera arrives with PDAF and support features like HDR, time-lapse and burst mode. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera which comes with beauty mode and face unlock feature.

It is a Hybrid Dual SIM smartphone supporting all standard connectivities like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. Honor 9i (2018) runs on Android Oreo 8.0 with EMUI 8.0 and packs a 3000mAh battery to keep the phone alive. The phone has a fingerprint sensor set on the back which quickly unlocks the device.

Besides all that, Honor has also promised to roll out GPU Turbo graphics processing acceleration technology to the device via OTA update by July 30th. The alleged technology will enhance the graphics processing efficiency of the smartphones for smoother gameplay experience for mobile gamers.

Honor 9i (2018) Pricing and Availability:

The Honor 9i (2018) comes in Black, Blue, Purple and Green colors carrying a price tag of 1399 yuan ($218) for the 64GB variant. The higher 128GB storage version of the device costs 1699 yuan ($265). Honor 9i is now available for sale in China and it hasn’t revealed yet when the device will launch globally.
