Google Assistant now available on iOS

Google has announced that iOS will get the Google Assistant very soon but with limited features. The iOS users can expect the app on the App Store very soon.

Google Assistant will have limited functionalities and users cannot expect it to work as flawlessly as it works on Android devices. Assistant will support only basic functions like sending messages or play music on Spotify because of API restrictions. All Apple devices have Siri as the intelligent assistant and because Apple does not allow remapping its Home button, Siri will remain as the primary digital assistant for all iOS users. Hence, whenever the screen is off, telling “Ok Google” will not wake up the device and open the Google app.
