Facebook is now rolling out instant games on Messenger globally

Back in November, Facebook launched instant games for Messenger. At that moment, it was only available for the Facebook Messenger users in the US. Whereas now, instant games will be pushed out to all the 1.2 billion Messenger users around the world. The billion dollar company says that the rollout process will take few weeks to finish it.

Additionally, there are plenty of rich gameplay feature have been added to instant games in Facebook Messenger. It includes turn-based gameplay, the inclusion of leaderboards and tournaments, and offer more customizable messages during play.

In a news post, Facebook said that,

“Game bots help re-engage players by calling out new game options and encouraging competition with updates on the leaderboards.”

The Zynga’s Words with friends is the first game to receive the support for newly introduced turn-based rich gameplay features. Right now, it is available on Messenger as a feature rich, turn-based instant game. The EverWing is the first game to use the game bots on the Messenger. According to Facebook, the turn-based gameplay is the most requested feature by the users.

The billion dollar company said the following in a blog post,

“Depending on what device you use and where you are located, there are now up to 50 games titles available on Messenger, with more being introduced almost every week. We’re also excited to be bringing the world’s #1 pool game — Miniclip’s 8 Ball Pool — to Instant Games very soon.”
