In the last few weeks, we observed plenty leaks of Xiaomi’s upcoming budget phone, Xiaomi Redmi 4. At first, it was rumored that Redmi 4 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset along with 2GB of RAM. Later on, it was confirmed by Chinese certification agency, TENAA’s listings and leaked images.
According to the TENAA listing, being powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, Redmi 4 will come with a 5-inch 720p HD TFT display. The phone will offer internal storage of 32GB with external storage support. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS along with MIUI 8. Being backed up by a 4000mAh battery, the device will sport a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera respectively. There is also a fingerprint scanner below the rear camera.
Today, a rumor has been spotted on Weibo which hints that Xiaomi Redmi 4 will launch on 4th November. However, till now it is still only a rumor as there are no events to check out or the post did not come with a launch teaser. Previously, the device was rumored to be unveiled on 4th August but that did not happen.
Further, it is rumored that there will be 2 variants of the handset: Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A, the later is expected to be exclusively for the Chinese market.
