Xiaomi is holding an event on 27th March to launch “Mi Mix 2S”, their first flagship smartphone of this year. While their regular flagship smartphone Mi 7 launch was postponed earlier. Due to the postpone people’s expectations for Xiaomi Mi 7 are getting higher and higher.
Xiaomi was one of the first company to introduce the bezel-less smartphone and their Mi Mix series is known for full-screen display with minimal bezels. But there’s always a big chunk present at the bottom of the Mi Mix series phones which some of its users don’t like.
A new leak has been spotted which shows the alleged front panel of Xiaomi Mi 7 (on the left) along with Vivo X21 panel (on the right side). The left panel in this picture shows minimal bezel at the bottom of Xiaomi Mi 7. The bezel is narrower than Vivo X21 and even Xiaomi’s own Mi Mix 2. This will increase the overall width of the display and enhance the visual appearance of the front side.
On the top of the panel, an iPhone X-like notch is present. If you notice the notch closely you will see a number of holes are reserved for the sensors which suggest that Xiaomi is trying to bring the 3D face recognition like Apple. This technology is not yet achieved by any Android smartphone manufacturer. Will Xiaomi be the first Android smartphone maker to achieve this feat?
