As expected, Xiaomi has finally announced their latest smartphone Mi 5X at an event in China. The device comes with a unibody design with anti-fingerprint coating at the back. The handset features a 5.5-inch Full HD LTPS Display with 2.5D curved glass, 450nit brightness. The device is powered by 2GHz Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM, Adreno 506 GPU and 64GB onboard storage. Out of the box, Mi 5X will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8 on the top but the later it can be upgraded to MIUI 9.
Mi 5X sports 12MP+12MP Dual rear cameras at the back, one is wide-angle lens while the other one is a telephoto lens which offers Bokeh effect, portrait mode and much more features. The rear cameras feature dual-tone LED flash, PDAF. On the other hand, the front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter to take care of the selfies.
The device has a Fingerprint sensor at the back and also has an Infrared sensor to control Infrared enabled devices. The handset comes with Hybrid Dual SIM with 4G VoLTE support. Under the hood, it has a 3080mAh battery to keep the device alive. As connectivity options, Mi 5X supports USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS & GLONASS.
Xiaomi Mi 5X is priced at 1499 yuan ($222) and comes in Gold, Black, and Rose Gold colors. The device will be up for sale in China from August 1st.
