As expected, Xiaomi has finally launched their most anticipated smartphones Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. So let’s check out the specifications of these smartphones.
Redmi Note 5 Pro Specifications
Redmi Note 5 sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 2.5D curved glass, 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The display comes with 450 nits Brightness, 1500: 1 Contrast Ratio, and 83% NTSC Color Gamut and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Redmi Note 5 Pro is powered by Octa-Core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 636 chipset with Adreno 509 GPU. In terms of storage and RAM, the device comes in two variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. The storage can be upgraded up to 128GB using microSD card.
Coming to the camera department, Redmi Note 5 Pro features 12MP+5MP dual camera setup at the back with dual-tone LED Flash. The 12MP sensor sports Sony IMX486 sensor, 1.25μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, and PDAF while the secondary 5MP sensor sports 1.12μm pixel size, and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it has a 20MP snapper with LED flash, Sony IMX376 sensor, and f/2.2 aperture. Xiaomi has also announced Face Unlock feature for this phone making it the first phone from Xiaomi to feature it.
Out of the box, the device runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9 on the top. The handset sports Hybrid Dual SIM with 4G VoLTE support. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back panel. Under the hood, Note 5 has a massive 4000mAh battery to keep the device running. But sadly it doesn’t come with fast charging support.
