Vivo has introduced two latest flagship smartphones – NEX S and NEX A at an event in China. The NEX duo comes with a pop-up front camera which Vivo showcased as APEX concept in MWC 2018. Let’s check out the specifications of Vivo NEX A smartphone below.
Vivo NEX A Specifications
Vivo NEX A features a 6.59-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED 19.3:9 display with a resolution of 2316×1080 pixels and the screen-to-body ratio of 91.24%. The phone’s screen has ultra narrow bezels of 1.71mm on the sides and 2.16mm on the top. Since the phone has a big screen with no notch, Vivo has ditched the earpiece and replaced it with a vibrating screen using SoundCasting Technology.
Vivo NEX A is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 710 processor along with Adreno 616 GPU, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone comes with Dual SIM slots and also supports connectivities such as Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C.
The device sports 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras along with a dual-tone LED flash. The primary 12MP snapper sports Sony IMX363 sensor, 4-axis OIS, and f/1.8 aperture. Whereas, the 5MP secondary rear camera features a f/2.4 aperture and auto scene detection for capturing portrait shots.
Moving to the front cam, Vivo NEX A comes with an 8MP pop-up camera similar to NEX S which rises and hides when you open or close the camera app. The pop-up camera precisely works with the help of precision control algorithms, micro-stepping motors, and independent drive ICs.
The handset sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and has a dedicated button on the side to launch Jovi Ai, Vivo’s voice assistant. Jovi AI arrives supports many voice commands and also can identify images, can launch apps and much more.
Vivo NEX A runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box. Under the hood, the NEX A packs a 4000mAh battery which comes with 22.5W fast charging as well.

Vivo NEX A arrives in Diamond Black and Red colors and carries a price tag of 3898 yuan ($608). The device will be up for sale in China on June 23rd.
