Recently, the Truecaller app for Android upgraded to a new version 7.82 which brought many additional features in it. The new Call Me Back (CMB) feature in latest update pop ups a notification asking the user to callback or call again. This feature will be helpful in times when you can’t reach out to someone due to various issues like poor network connectivity, call rejection, etc.

The new update allows the dialer to send a push notification to the receiver by asking him to call back. The caller can do that by just tapping on the ‘ask to call back’ option available under the notification section. But, it only works if the receiver is Truecaller user who should have their last seen in past 24 hours. Besides that, the update also has some additional changes and improvements which changelog is below.

New features in Truecaller for Android v7.82

  • Now you can swipe to call and message in a call log.
  • Fixed issues on repeating and super annoying notifications.
  • Now easier to call from Dedicated contacts tab for better calling experience.
  • Significant speed and battery consumption improvements.
  • Improvements related to WhatsApp Caller ID and missed call reminder.

Here is what the Truecaller alleged about the latest feature:

The update reflects Truecaller’s consistent innovation and commitment to make communication safer and more efficient for the users. Furthermore, such a feature is something that the telecom service providers have been aiming to aid their last mile call completion challenges for quite some time caused either by less than ideal network connectivity or call congestion / congested network. But with Truecaller apparently occupying the user’s default dialer space on their smartphone, the company with this new feature targets to close this gap actually faster.
