OnePlus 5 launched in India, pricing starts at Rs. 32999

As expected, OnePlus has announced their flagship killer smartphone OnePlus 5 in India. The device was announced two days back through an online event.

OnePlus 5 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED Display with 2.5D curved glass on the top. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The device is powered by 2.45GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB/8GB RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. The internal memory is 64GB/128GB which can’t be expanded. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Oxygen OS on the top.

OnePlus 5 features 16MP+20MP Dual camera setup at the back with dual LED Flash. The 20MP snapper is a telephoto lens which comes with Sony IMX350 sensor, f/2.6 aperture. The 16MP camera comes with Sony IMX398 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, EIS. The rear cameras can capture up to 4K videos @30fps, 1080p @60 fps, 720p slow-mo @120fps. The dual camera is helpful for taking photos with bokeh effects which mean the background of the picture will be blurred especially in Portrait mode.

OnePlus 5

The device supports Dual SIM with 4G VoLTE. The fingerprint sensor is placed on Home button. As connectivity options, the handset hasUSB Type-C, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ). Under the hood, the device comes with a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge for fast charging.

OnePlus 5 is priced at Rs. 32,999 in India for the 6GB RAM variant while the 8GB variant is priced at Rs. 37,999. The device is up for sale at Amazon.in. Until 28th June SBI credit and debit card users will get Rs. 1500 cashback. The users will also get free 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance powered by Kotak 811.
