We all are waiting for Motorola to announce their 2nd generation Moto Z Smartphone. Press renders of the alleged Moto Z2 or maybe the Moto Z2 Force had already leaked in the past, and at least in terms of design, there seems to be very little change in the Moto Z2 when compared to its predecessor, the original Moto Z. We do expect some improvements to happen for the Moto Mods with new Moto Mods announcements, to not disappoint people who invested in Moto Mods for their first-generation Moto Z handsets.

Today, we get some leaked press renders not of the Moto Z2, but of the Moto Z2 Play, which is expected to be a cheaper, mid-range version of the upcoming flagship Moto Z2.
The Moto Z Play of last year featured a Snapdragon 652 processor along with a lower-resolution display and a bigger battery than the flagship Moto Z. We expect the same trend to follow this year as well with the Moto Z2 Play when compared to the Moto Z2. In terms of design, the Moto Z2 Play does look similar to the earlier Moto Z2 image leaks, that showed off the wrap-around bands for antennas instead of glass used in last year’s Moto Z.
Another interesting detail to note is the date on the leaked render image, the date says June 8, which may be the official launch date for the upcoming Moto Z2 Smartphone.
