Lenovo has been so impressed by its sub brand Motorola stock Android strategy that they have decided to completely ditch their own UI. And that is what the Lenovo K8 Note is all about. The phone is the first of a wave of smartphones that will signal the beginning of a new era at Lenovo. That of stock Android. The company had been teasing the phone for 2-3 weeks and today the phone is official in India.

In spirit, the Lenovo K8 Note is a budget offering. Lets quickly spill out the specs of the phone. The smartphone comes with specs that are on par with the serious competition in the budget segment and a price to boot. It has the standard 5.5-inch Full HD screen with 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass. Also striking a pose first time for the camera is the new ten-core MediaTek Helio-X23 processor clocked at 2.3Ghz.

The K8 Note also brings dual cameras to the budget segment, a feat that Xiaomi has failed to achieve till now. The back is adorned by a 13 MP + 5MP sensor that can give you Bokeh effects. The front has a 13 MP shooter with LED flash. Lenovo hopes the 4,000 mAh Li-ion cell will keep the clock ticking all day long.

More deserving of mention is the 15w turbo charging that promises to give 5 hours of talk time from just 15 min. of charge. If this is the same fast charging inherited from the Lenovo P2 then get ready to be impressed. Of course, it has a fingerprint sensor at the back and dual SIM capacity. That’s not all. The phone comes with an oleophobic coating for the front as well as water-repellent nano coating.

The Lenovo K8 Note has two variants. The 3GB + 32GB variant will cost Rs. 12,999 while the 4GB + 64GB ROM will cost Rs 13,999. Remember this is an online selling phone so buyers will have to register to get notified of the sale. The sale for Lenovo K8 Note will start from August 18 at 12 noon.
