According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an eminent analyst, Apple will not release an update of iPhone SE in March 2017. If this analysis comes true, iPhone SE will last more than one year in the market, unlike other Smartphones.

Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple will try to maximize its gross margins and spare its true flagship bearer, iPhone 7 from internal competitions, so there will be no iPhone SE updates at least till March 2017. However, this forecast covers only till March of next year, so a later release of the update is not completely ruled out.

Further, Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that iPhone shipment will drop from last year’s 51.2 million to 40 to 50 million during the final quarter of the year. Similarly, he had estimated 35 to 40 million iPhone shipments for the second quarter of 2017 as against last year’s 40.4 million.
