Google Daydream headset will land on stores on November 10 for $79

Just before a month ago, Google has announced its Daydream view smartphone-based VR headset, which supports Google’s Daydream platform is going to be in your hands soon. After making us anticipated for few weeks, finally, Google has revealed the release date and the cost for the headset in a blog post earlier today.

The Google Daydream view will be available for $79 from November 10th onwards. Customers who are interested in the headset can pre-order at Google Store. However, the customers in the US will also be able to buy it from BestBuy and Verizon. You can get hold of Daydream view in any color until it’s available. But, the Crimson and snow color options will launch after this year.

The Daydream view is the divine successor of the cheap and simplistic Google Cardboard headsets. Nevertheless, there are few big differences in the both headsets.

Logically, the Google Daydream view seems to be an interesting product, but it needs to be figure out whether Daydream platform is ready for current situation or not. Google also says there will be plenty of apps available at the start and with time there will be more apps.

At present, the only smartphone’s to support Daydream platform are Pixel and Pixel XL, which means that the new Pixel phones are only compatible with Google Daydream view. It’s most likely that other smartphone manufacturers have been working to launch their Daydream view compatible handsets. However, the Daydream will extend its support to other handsets soon.
