Gboard is the new name of the Google Keyboard app. Despite the fact that Google has not updated its keyboard description in Play Store, a few days ago, the first iteration of Gboard surfaced online for Android. Now, the Gboard is made official after two more back to back updates.

The keyboard supports writing in multiple languages (over 100 as of now) at the same time along with other excellent features such as glide typing, emoji, voice typing, and GIF. From now on, you will be able to search Google with the G button right from your keyboard without leaving the app you are using. Further, you will be able to share links in your conversation directly from Google. Similarly, GIFs can also be directly shared to apps which support them.

As per Google, its messenger apps, Allo and Hangouts will come with built in Gboard functioning. Further, the keyboard learns as you type so you will get suggestions of every word that you have typed at least once. Moreover, you can sync the learned words across devices by enabling the feature in settings.
