Gaming smartphones are becoming a trend now and so many smartphone companies are showing their interest in it. Being one of the top contenders of gaming components, PCs Asus doesn’t want to leave this space as they have introduced a gaming smartphone called “ROG Phone” at Computex 2018 in Taiwan. Let’s check out what this phone is offering us.

Asus ROG Phone features a 6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED 90Hz display with 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, 550 nits brightness. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and also comes with Gaming HDR and Mobile HDR support.

The device is powered by 2.96GHz Snapdragon 845 SoC with whopping 8GB of RAM, Adreno 630 GPU, and 128GB / 512GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ROG Gaming X mode UI on the top. ROG Phone has GameCool system which helps to cool down the SoC during heavy gaming.

Coming to the camera segment, the phone sports 12MP+8MP dual rear cameras with LED flash, dual pixel sensor, f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, 4-axis, 4 stops optical image stabilization, AI Scene Detection. On the front, it has an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture to take care of the selfies.

The device comes with some cool accessories like AeroActive Cooler which helps to cool down the device, TwinView Dock which adds a secondary 6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The display can be used to see other things while gaming. Developers can add features like reading strategies, maps, chat options and other important information so it will be very easy for the very competitive gamers.

ROG Phone will be available in Black color with the AeroActive Cooler. The other accessories will be sold separately. The device will be available in Q3 2018. There’s no information regarding the pricing.
