Intex Cloud 4G Star Review: Hardware & Build Quality

Intex Cloud 4G Star

At the first look you will be impressed with the look of Intex Cloud 4G Star. The phone looks pretty solid and it has Matt finish at the back which feels awesome to hold. The phone can be used in one hand very easily and it is perfectly built for that. On the front it has no physical buttons just the display and the front camera and sensor. In the back there are 13MP camera with a LED flash just below it.

Below the back-cover and you can say under the phone we have the speakers and between those we have the USB port. On the top of it we can found the Mic, Headphone port and Power button. On the left side we have the volume rocker buttons. The only con in Build quality is it’s placement of power button. For a 5-inch it’s hard to reach the power button. But they have given a solution too. It supports double tap feature. So you can turn on your device by tapping double times in your smartphone display.Apart from that phone looks great and has a premium feel.

Intex Cloud 4G Star Review: Display

Intex Cloud 4G Star

It has 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display which is protected by Asahi Dragon Trail glass. I will say display is good but not best. It lacks color saturation and hue somewhere. Viewing angels are also average. The brightness is pretty good and can be used easily under sunlight. When it comes to touch there’s nothing to complain. It’s very responsive.

Intex Cloud 4G Star Review: Performance and Gaming

The Intex Cloud 4G Star is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 2GB RAM which ensures the good performance. It is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop and it has no extra customization. The UI is running well with 2GB RAM, the multitasking is very good too. There are so many pre-installed apps like Chaatz, OLX, Paytm, Quickoffice but we haven’t found any lag while using apps and switching between apps.Intex Cloud 4G Star

When it comes to gaming we have tested some most graphics intense games like Modern Combat 5, Asphalt 8 Airbone, Subway Surfers and it gives flawless performance. I was surprised with the gaming performance. The phone doesn’t heat up much while gaming so it is another plus point for heavy mobile gamers. In a summary the performance along with gaming is very good.

Intex Cloud 4G Star Review: Camera

Intex Cloud 4G Star

It has 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and 5MP front-facing camera, 88-degree wide-angle lens to take selfies and video calling. The 13 MP captures average pictures and according to price-point we can’t complain it. The pictures we have taken lacks saturation. The Camera Ui is very simple and has lots of quick features. The video shooting with the camera on good light is pretty good but again the lack of saturation otherwise very good. The shutter speed is too very fast.

Intex Cloud 4G Star Review: Battery and Sound

Intex Cloud 4G Star

The battery is 2300 mAh in Intex Cloud 4G Star which is non-removable. The battery performance is quite good. If you are a heavy user and playing games, using 3G and 4G it willn’t last till the end of the day.

The sound is clear but not that loud like you can’t hear it clearly from your other room. But if you are watching movies or playing games its perfect. The call quality is pretty good with simple call and in loudspeaker too. The call quality was pretty good and found no noisy sounds.

Final Verdict

Intex Cloud 4G Star is priced Rs 7299 in India and it’s main competitors are Xioami Redmi 2, Lenovo A6000. This phone is a really good deal who are seeking for low budget phones. The camera maybe average but it has good performance which will satisfy it’s users.
