Recently there have been rumors that Xiaomi Mi Smartwatch will launch along with Redmi 4. Redmi 4 launch date is scheduled on August 25. According to Chinese Mobile Phone League Secretary General, Mi Smartwatch is expected to launch this month. The smartwatch will not be budget friendly like other Xiaomi products. We expected the price will be around $150 now it seems the price will be higher than we expected.
Now today Huami CEO & Founder Huang Wang posted on Weibo about the upcoming Mi Smartwatch. He said Mi Smartwatch is mainly made for sports purpose and some of the features can still be improved. He added, “the nights in the beginning of autumn is cool and good for running, see you on 8.30”.
It means the smartwatch will be launched officially on August 30. Huami is the sub-brand of Xiaomi and maker of the Mi Smartwatch. As of now, we have no details regarding the pricing. We have to wait until the launch event.
