Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is in the news for quite some time now. The first gen of this device was announced last year in May and so the second gen Mi Max 2 is also expected to launch this month. Back in February, we reported that Mi Max 2 is expected to come up with newly announced Snapdragon 660 SoC. The report comes out to be true as a new leak has been surfaced which reveals Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will feature Snapdragon 660 SoC with Full HD 6.4-inch Display instead of first gen’s 6.44-inch Display. There will be Snapdragon 626 SoC variant as well. The Snapdragon 660 will have 128 of storage and the battery will be upgraded to 5000mAh. It is also heard that Mi Max 2 will sport MIUI 9 out of the box.
We also have a leaked image which shows the back, bottom, and top of the device. The camera and Fingerprint sensor placement are similar to the original Mi Max. Unlike Mi 6, Xiaomi is not ditching the 3.5mm headphone port in this device.
Though there’s no leak regarding the launch date but according to some reports, Mi Max 2 will be announced on 23rd May. The standard variant is expected to be priced at 1499 Yuan ($217) while the high-end variant will be priced under 1999 Yuan ($289). Anyway, we have to wait until the launch date to confirm everything.
