Recently, Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 835 chipset, which will come with Quick Charge 4.0 technology support. However, no essential details are officially leaked yet, so we have to rely on the rumors to fill the details.
Snapdragon 835 chipset is believed to bring back the octa-core architecture instead of Snapdragon 821’s quad-core architecture. The cores are still believed to be manufactured by Kryo. There will be 4 Kryo cores clocked at 3GHz and 4 Kryo cores clocked at 2.4GHz. The chipset will come with 4K display support, Dual camera support, LPDDR4x four channel memory support, Adreno 540 GPU, and UFS 2.1 standard for storage support.
At an event in Shenzhen, China, Qualcomm officially announced that its next generation Snapdragon series chipsets will come with the super fast and world’s first Gigabit-class X16 LTE modem. It claims to be 10 times faster than the first generation 4G LTE devices.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is expected to enter the market within the second quarter of 2017.
