If latest rumors are to be believed, then works on the Galaxy Note 8 project has already begun at Samsung with the codename “Project Baikal”. For all those who are wondering what the word “Baikal” stands for, it is the name of the deepest lake in the world, situated in the southern part of Siberia.

Nothing apart from the naming is known about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 so far. We don’t even know for sure if Samsung will be calling it the Galaxy Note 8.

Whatever the device may be called, we will surely start receiving leaks about the device in the months to come, mostly right after the launch of the upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 on March 29.
