Reliance Jio is one of the hottest and newest startups in India. Backed by Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited, the Jio network is one of the fastest to gain over 100 million active subscribers on the network. Reliance Jio achieved this target within just 170 days of its initial launch.
Even though the quick success of Reliance Jio was mainly because of the free voice and data services provided by the network, the time has come for Reliance Jio to stop the free services and charge its users for the data and calls made through Reliance Jio.
Beyond 31st of March, once the existing Happy New Year offer from Jio comes to an end, Reliance Jio will start charging its users for the data and voice call consumptions made using the network.
At the same press conference where the new upcoming tariffs of Reliance Jio network were announced, a new Jio Prime service also came into light. The latest Jio Prime service allows you to enjoy all the goodies of Reliance Jio including free voice calls, 4G data connectivity and Jio suite of applications for an extended time period of one-year. The Jio Prime service membership will only be available for the initial Jio subscribers who has subscribed to the Jio network until 31st of March 2017.
Enrolling to the Jio Prime service will require you to pay Rs. 99 as an enrolment fee and the payment should be done by March 31, 2017, on the Reliance Jio official website only.
