New Skype 8.0 now available to download for Android

Microsoft’s redesigned Skype is now available to download for Android over Google Play Store. The app is only available for Android at this point. The app is completely rebuilt and also comes with new UI.

The front main screen comes with three tabs. The middle tab consists all your chats. The right tab is called Capture which is a rip-off Snapchat feature where you can take a picture and send to all your contacts. You can also add the picture in Highlights bar. The photo editing tools which include drawing tools, stickers are available in this bar.

On the left side, the tab which is called Highlights which is another rip-off Snapchat feature. Here you can upload all your updates, photos and videos which can be seen by your friends. Rest of the features are pretty similar to the old app.

The app is now rolling out on Android and in upcoming weeks it will be available on App Store too. Windows and Mac will get the update in coming months.
