Microsoft has announced that they will be making some improvements and new changes in Skype, which will be updated to the application in the next few weeks. First of all, the Call Phones tab will be replaced with just Calls and will allow the users to make all types of calls, which also includes both Skype-to-Skype audio and video calls.

Additionally, you can also make calls to mobile or landline numbers which will require you to use Skype credit. The earlier mentioned tab will be available first on Android and later followed by iOS. If a group call is live and the one that begun it hangs up, the call will not get disconnected.

And lastly, with a new update for Skype, it’ll also be possible for users to drop in a video or text message instead of traditional voice messages if the caller isn’t available. It doesn’t mean that the earlier voice mail feature will vanish since after the new update, you can still keep using that as per your wish.
