Though the barcode and logo are totally blurred out in the recent Nest advertisement, we can still get an outline that how the Pixel and Pixel XL will look. From the leaked images, it seems that the top half is protected by a glass plate and the lower half is protected by a metal unibody. The antenna lines featuring in the lower part of the metal unibody reminds us of HTC One A9 handset.
The images leaked are of white colored units. Both the handsets come with similar front sensors and it also seems that there is a physical button in the front. Today, this physical button has been confirmed in the case render link. However, the function of this button is yet to be surfaced anywhere. Since there is already a fingerprint scanner in the back, it seems that this front button will have some functions for activation of Google’s new assistant. We believe some more leaks will be there prior to the release of this handset.
Manufactured by Google’s first Smartphone partner, HTC, Pixel and Pixel XL will come with codenames Marlin and Sailfish respectively. Both the handsets will run with a Snapdragon 820 and they are expected to directly compete with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in the market.
