Amazon unveils 7-inch touchscreen Echo Show with Alexa support

Amazon finally launched a new version of its Echo speaker called the Echo Show, which comes with in-built touch screen and Alexa- virtual digital assistant. It was leaked many times this week, but it is now available to pre-order from Amazon for $229.99.

The Echo Show has all the basic facilities of Echo smart speaker, like Alexa and always listening microphone but it additionally comes with a 7-inch built-in touch screen. Amazon has said that Alexa will show everything now because of the integrated touch screen. You can watch Youtube videos, or it can be your regular photo frame by downloading your photos from Amazon Prime. It can also show you weather reports or news briefings.

The most important part of the Echo Show is the video and voice calls. Anyone can make or receive a call on Show if they have the Alexa app. Skype is not supported as of now. The Echo Show has 7- inch screen across, eight microphones, a front facing 5- megapixel camera and a pair of two- inch speakers.
