Lu Qian Hao, Managing Director of ZTE, has recently posted a teaser image on Weibo (China’s Twitter), featuring a phone with a curved Display. Since the image is a close-angled shot, no information, even in its preliminary form, can be reached. However, the release has made ZTE’s future plans open to question.
The text on the image wishes a happy ‘boundless’ new year to everyone. It also reads: ‘Goodbye 2016’.
Notably, there is no buzz floating in the market on an upcoming ZTE phone with curved edges. However, since the teaser comes from the ZTE itself, we assume that it is intended to drop major hints on the company’s next mobile launch.
